Maryland Democrats have angrily criticized FBI Director Christopher A. Wray for suggesting without evidence that the state unfairly won the fight for the next FBI headquarters. Rep. Glenn Ivey, Sen. Chris Van Hollen, and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore all condemned Wray’s comments during a news conference. Three anonymous sources have claimed that Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin did not put in much effort to try to get the FBI headquarters to Virginia. This lack of enthusiasm is in contrast to Maryland Governor Wes Moore, who said that one of his main priorities was to lobby for the building to be in Greenbelt.
