Israeli farmer Avihai Brodutch has been living a nightmare for the past four weeks. His wife and three children, aged 10 to 4, have been missing since Hamas terrorists attacked their home and community in Israel on October 7th. Brodutch reached out to the American people and leaders, urging them to help bring his family back home. He pleaded for their support in any way possible so that the children can be reunited with their loved ones. Since the attack, Brodutch has not received any information about the well-being of his wife and children. They, along with around 240 others, are believed to be held hostage in Gaza. Brodutch expressed his worries about their condition and pleaded for assistance in bringing them back safely. He emphasized that this situation has taken too long and doesn’t make sense to him. Brodutch, a farmer from a kibbutz near the Gaza border, was away from home when the attack took place. His wife and children have been missing ever since. He mentioned that another child from the neighborhood, who arrived at their home covered in blood after her parents were killed by the terrorists, is believed to be with his family. Brodutch emphasized that there are many other innocent people being held captive, including children and mothers. Currently staying in a temporary location, he described his family as ordinary people leading simple lives. The interview with Brodutch was made possible by Bring Them Home Now, a voluntary organization dedicated to rescuing those believed to be held captive by Hamas. Despite the difficult circumstances, Brodutch still holds onto hope. He had initially feared that his family was killed in the attack. However, upon returning home and speaking to neighbors, he learned that his family was led away towards Gaza. He mentioned that there were no signs of violence or bodies found at their home, leaving him uncertain of their well-being after the attack. Brodutch found hope in a meeting with Qatari officials during a visit to Washington, D.C. He stated that the meeting was encouraging, as Qatar has significant influence in the Middle East. He hopes that the power, strength, and compassion of the American people can aid in the safe return of his family and the other hostages. Brodutch expressed his faith in the United States as a supporter of humanity and democracy and pleaded for their assistance.
