The Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest in Gaza, is facing closure due to overcrowding and lack of resources. Attacks on or near medical facilities and workers have further worsened the healthcare system, with explosions at healthcare centers resulting in hundreds of deaths. The mental and physical wellbeing of healthcare workers is also a concern, as they face exhaustion, psychological fatigue, and lack of resources. Despite the challenges, healthcare workers remain committed to caring for their patients amidst the ongoing crisis.
